Det vil først og fremst presentere arbeider av språkforskerne i Tromsø, men er også åpent for andre, f.eks. for gjesteforelesere og andre som på en eller annen måte har tilknytning til miljøet i Tromsø. Tidsskriftet skal også fungere som working papers, og det står derfor bidragsyterne fritt å publisere arbeidene andre steder seinere. Redaksjonen blir utpekt av instituttstyret. Skriftet kommer ut uregelmessig, og foreløpig kun elektronisk (fra nr. 31), men gratis.
The journal is published by the Department of Linguistics at the University of Tromsø, and primarily features articles by linguists in Tromsø. Contributions will, however, be welcome from others with some connection with Tromsø (e.g. visiting lecturers). The journal is also intended to function as a working papers; contributors are therefore at liberty to publish their articles elsewhere at a later date. The editorial committee is appointed by the board of the Department of Linguistics. The journal appears at irregular intervals, and only electronically (as of issue 31), but is free of charge.
