L-313 (Emner fra nordisk syntaks): Phrase Structure

This course will be co-taught by Peter Svenonius, Tarald Taraldsen, and Thorbjörg Hróarsdóttir. It satisfies requirements for the Master's program in Scandinavian Linguistics and the Master's program in English Linguistics.

In this course we will be examining theories of phrase structure, beginning with the 1960's and extending to the present day. The empirical motivations for structural analyses are examined, along with the theory.
