Curt Rice

I work as a linguist at the University of Tromsø , in Norway. (See the web-cam on campus, or have a look at our local tourist information site .) My position is in the Faculty of Humanities , primarily in the English Department , although I also am quite involved with the Linguistics Department , especially with their program for a Master of Philosophy in Scandinavian Linguistics . Information for students on the courses I offer is available.

My research is primarily within generative grammar, especially in generative phonology, although I also do some work in morphology (especially about grammatical gender), as well as language acquisition and generative metrics. These interests are reflected in the conferences and short courses which I am involved in organizing.
