Graduate Studies in Linguistics at Tromsø

Graduate studies in linguistics can be carried out in the Department of Linguistics or in any of the language departments. Of special interest is the new option of taking a Master of Philosophy degree in Linguistics, with specialization either in Scandinavian Linguistics or English Linguistics. The M.Phil. programs are part of an effort toward internationalization in the Norwegian universities and they are therefore conducted in English, although pursuit of the traditional cand.philol. naturally remains an option.
