SYNTAX IN A VALENCY MODEL

Every linguistic construction can be represented in two ways: as a syntactic dependency tree and as a semantic dependency graph. The syntactic tree is problematic. Certain constructions cannot be represented without violating the formal restrictions, especially the requirement that there must be only one top node. Read more about this here:
